How do social discounts work?

So you'd like to purchase a ticket to an event, and when you went to select the number of tickets you would like to purchase, a box popped up! It talked about Social Discounts, and you're not entirely sure as to what that entails. Well, here's the breakdown:

A Social Discount is a special offer the event organizer is giving you, since you're purchasing your tickets online. It's a specific discount that you get if you post about the event on your Facebook and/or Twitter profile.

Social Discounts only apply to certain tickets for an event. When you select to purchase a ticket type that has a Social Discount, a box will pop up asking if you want to share the event on your social network in exchange for a certain discount off of that ticket type:

If you want to take advantage of the offer, then you need to authorize AttendStar to post on your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts by clicking on the Authorize buttons. You may see both Facebook and Twitter, or just one of the social networks. It depends on the event and the ticket type you're purchasing:

The message in the box is what will appear on the social networks you authorized

Once you finish following the steps to authorize AttendStar to post the message on your social networks, you will be taken back to the ticket sales page where you can finish selecting the tickets you would like to purchase. Your discount was automatically calculated and taken from your purchase total. Discounts do not apply to fees, and you receive the discount for each social network you posted on, for each valid ticket.

If you do not want to take advantage of the Social Discount, just click the "No Thanks" button at the bottom right hand corner or click the "Close" link at the top of the box.
